Spring, summer, fall, winter… we each tend to find ourselves drawn to certain seasons. Spring calls my name! Wildflowers, waterfalls, warm days, cool nights… Growth, renewal and rebirth. I enjoy spending time outdoors, and this time of year is so very beautiful! Perfect for gardening, sitting on the patio, and grilling!
Here are a few of my favorite must-have grilling tools! I tend to use them all summer long, and you will even find me, tools in hand, out on the covered patio with winter snow coming down! I have both a Weber Kettle charcoal grill and a Weber Genesis propane grill, and I find myself using both.
1 – Grill Tool Set – Tongs and Spatula
Grilling tools are essential! I use tongs all the time. They are great for just about anything that goes on the grill. This pair is locking, which is so handy for storage. The spatula is great for burgers! They are stainless steel and dishwasher safe, though I usually wash by hand. Click here for details on this must-have tool set!
2 – Grill Tray
A good grilling tray can make all the difference! I have tried several, and this is one of my favorites! I grill asparagus and zucchini on a regular basis, and this is perfect for those! Try a spray of olive oil to keep them from sticking. Click here for details!
3 – Marinating Dish
It is so helpful to have a sturdy leak-proof marinating container. I use this every time I marinate meat or veggies for grilling, baking, searing, roasting… you get the idea! I own two large ones and a smaller one, and they are an essential part of my grilling prep! Check out this Tupperware Large Season Serve Blue!
4 – Silicon Basting Brushes
A sturdy silicon basting brush is a must-have when cooking. I use these both indoors and outdoors. I do not enjoy picking brush hairs out of my food, and this heat-resistant silicon is perfect for spreading marinades on your favorite foods while grilling. I recommend having two on hand… one for veggies and one for meats. Check these out!
5 – Reusable Kabob Skewers
Whether you say kabob, kebab, or k-bob, a handy set of reusable skewers is ideal for cooking these tasty dinners. I used the one-time bamboo skewers for years, and decided to try the stainless ones. No more small bamboo pieces in my food. No more soaking before skewering. I will not be going back! These skewers are longer and shaped to hold the meats and veggies in place without spinning when you turn them on the grill. I use them for grilling prawns, as well, and they work great!
